Reports to: Chief Executive Officer of OCI Enterprises

OCI Enterprises Inc. is the North American subsidiary of OCI Company Ltd. based in Seoul, Korea. Headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, OCI Enterprises consists of two divisions. OCI Enterprises’ energy businesses operate through OCI Energy LLC, a consortium of companies which develop, own and operate solar photovoltaic power plants as well as manufacture equipment for its solar facilities in North America. Its chemical business operates through OCI Alabama, producing sodium percarbonate and hydrogen peroxide. We are seeking an experienced Senior Director of Strategy to provide support for a
growing organization in a fast-paced environment.

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Senior Director of Strategy oversees and directs the
implementation of the OCI Enterprises strategic and M&A plan. Responsible for alignment from all partners and stakeholders on key metrics, establish realistic business goals, and lead the development and interpretation of financial and operating data for strategic and M&A activity.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • In collaboration with the CEO and Executive Leaders, develop long and short range strategic and M&A plans for the OCI Family of Companies.
  • Provide leadership and direction during implementation of strategic and M&A plans.
  • Lead and execute projects of strategic importance to OCI Enterprises and its related businesses to include capital investment projects, M&A activity, business realization and other strategic initiatives.
  • Cultivate a strong and transparent working relationship with senior leaders and foster trust and open communication related to M&A opportunities.
  • Ensure business decisions are grounded in solid financial data and reasoning.
  • Identify and develop target list of clients and partners.
  • Oversee the development of financial analysis including models, due diligence, competitor analysis, financial reports, databases, and reporting tools.
  • Design and develop analysis and ad-hoc reporting on financial and operating metrics.
  • Monitor company and market performance to determine if strategies need to be adjusted or new strategies should be introduced.
  • Interface and collaborate with all stakeholders to execute successfully while minimizing interference to ongoing business activities.
  • Act as key point of contact for strategy and activity coordination on assigned initiatives, as well as tactical troubleshooter to ensure roadblocks are overcome and opportunities are successfully executed.
  • Develop objectives and fit-to-plan as part of investment and opportunity assessment processes.
  • Develop deal-specific plans for acquisitions and business development opportunities.
  • Monitor and enforce initiative progress; hold all supporting parties accountable for their specific activities and deliverables through status review development and implementation and escalation and/or resolution plans as applicable.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the established strategic processes, systems, tools and metrics.
  • Liaison between OCI Enterprises and parent company in matters related to strategy, new business initiatives, and M&A.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field of study. MBA or CFA preferred.
  • Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of corporate finance, banking, or consulting experience.
  • Experience in building strategies and conducting due diligence.
  • Experience in M&A integration and corporate development.
  • Executive presence and ability to debate and influence decision making
  • Advanced knowledge of financial modeling and MS-Excel
  • Analytical thinker, detail-oriented, high energy level
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidential and professional manner
  • Travel required, up to 25%
